FOCUS SCRIPTURE“And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” (Esther 2:17)

Esther was enthroned as queen at a time when the Jews were in captivity. In Esther 3 vs. 13, a decree went forth that all Jews should be killed. That decree was to annihilate every Jew. That decree sought to make all Jews to become victims. That decree was to reduce and completely extinguish the destinies of all Jews, young and old. That decree was to wipe out an entire generation.

Esther was queen at the time of the passing of this evil decree, and she proclaimed a fast among the Jews. She used her position as queen to mobilize the Jews for prayer. She used her privileged position as queen to intervene in the king’s palace. Esther used her position and access to the king to get the evil decree reversed. She used her position to serve a divine purpose.

Friend, whatever favour you have received from God, use it to serve a divine purpose. Use your privileged position to serve God. Use your wealth to advance the kingdom. You were favoured to serve God more; you were favoured to serve humanity more and to be of help to people around you; you were lifted to lift your generation; God allowed you to rise so that others can also rise and not go down.

There is a reason why God gave you the opportunity you currently have; there is a reason why you have more finances than you ordinarily need; there is a reason why God positioned you in high places; there is a reason why God has caused the kings of this world to come to your rising; there is a reason why God covered your feet with butter; there is a divine purpose around your rising. There is divine agenda tied to your elevation.
Don’t focus on the pleasure of your rising and forget the assignment it comes with. Use the favour you have received to please God; use your privileged position to lift your generation.

I will use my favour to serve, in Jesus’ name!
