FOCUS SCRIPTURE“And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”(1 Samuel 30:8)

In our Focal Scripture, David asked the Lord if he could pursue and overtake the troop that burnt Ziklag. He asked two questions of the Lord. God responded, and declared that David would pursue, overtake the troops and recover all that he lost. David asked two questions and got three answers. He got more than what he asked the Lord. God went beyond the scope of what David asked for and added recovery which David didn’t ask for.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: 2019 shall deliver to you more than you can ever ask for. This year, you shall have more opportunities than you bargained for; you shall have more favours than you planned for; you shall have more breakthroughs than you anticipated; your joyful sounds shall exceed your expectations; God will ensure that your results will exceed your projections; you shall have more than you asked for all year long.

David was only asking about the process of chasing after the adversaries and the possibility of catching up with them; but God went further to speak of the result of recovering everything that was lost. So God orchestrated a result that David did not ask for. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2019, God will divinely orchestrate results you did not ask for and deliver same to you. It may not be in your plans, but God will make it happen.

God is not a man who delivers exactly the much you asked for or even less; God is able to do more than you could ever ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within you. God is able to perpetually exceed your expectations. God is able to do much more than you deserve; God is able to deliver miracles even in areas you are yet to ask for; God is able to do more.
Get set: your expectations will be exceeded this year. The God of Joyful Sounds will ensure that you have more than you asked for.

In 2019, I have more than I ask for, in Jesus’ name!
